Recently, John Amaechi became the first former NBA player to reveal that he is gay. When ex-NBA star Tim Hardaway was interviewed by a Florida radio station and asked how he would react to having a gay teammate, Hardaway said that he was homophobic and said “I don’t like gay people”.
