sandwich
I could eat a sandwich every day. I love sandwiches. Specifically, I love the following sandwiches:

  • fresh roast beef and cheddar with extra mayo and pickles only on dark sourdough roll (Genova Delicatessen)
  • pan-fried chicken breast, cheddar and bacon with mayo and pickles on ciabatta roll
  • egg salad with pickles, black olives, bacon, and cheddar on toasted, then cooled, whole wheat bread
  • fried hot dog, cheddar, mayo, ketchup & pickles on toasted sesame bun
  • cheesesteak with beef and cheddar only (The Cheesesteak Shop)
  • black forest ham and cheddar with mayo only on a sourdough roll with 4 pickle spears on the side (Boudin)
  • fried egg sandwich with american cheese, mayo and pickles (Fat Burger)

What are your favorite sandwiches? Post a comment… and don’t forget pictures!

My favorite is good ol’ ham and swiss cheese. With mayo. Sometimes with lettuce and tomato.

But I prefer boiled ham versus the other kinds of ham. Boiled ham is a bit squishier and blander than smoked, for example.

I’ve also been craving peanut butter and jelly recently.

Oh my second favorite sandwich is what I call my Saturday Morning Special.

I take two eggs, whip them in a plate, and dip two slices of bread in the egg batter.

Then I fry the bread like french toast and put the bread aside.

I put the remaining egg batter into the grill and cook that until it’s fluffy.

Then I fry two slices of Oscar Meyer Beef Bologna. I lightly fry them on each side. I’m careful not to cook them too much or they become too curved and tiny. You don’t want that.

Then I build the sandwich, slapping the bologna and egg batter mixture inside the bread.

      It’s done. Enjoy!

Try sunflower butter (Trader Joes). Really yummy. This has been my breakfast for 6 of 10 recent mornings: sunflower butter and marmalade on an egg roll with a cup of joe. perfect.
